My Wife Has Lupus
You may have noticed that I changed the name of this blog to My Wife Has Lupus, and I wanted to talk a bit about that decision and what prompted the change.
Lupusfamily.com was meant to be a place where everyone whose life is changed by lupus could come and share their experiences and maybe get some help or at least some understanding. I envisioned it as a site where my wife and I could share our thoughts about how we deal with day to life, and maybe help others and get some help in return.
Well, my wife is much more comfortable sharing her experiences over at MDjunction, and the Lupus Foundation of America can always provide the latest medical news involving lupus and lupus related research.
So what’s the point of continuing to maintain this site?
The only reason that seems to work for me, is to sharpen the focus of the site so that it is more about me and people like me. My wife has lupus. It is a stupid and annoying disease. It has changed my life and my relationship with my wife in ways I never imagined it would.
I would like to be able to share experiences with other husbands whose wives have lupus, or folks who have family members with lupus. I would like to hear from those of you who have lupus, who have trouble dealing with your friends and loved ones.
Feel free to share your thoughts, good or bad. I want to hear them.
