I came across a relatively new blog that gives tips for dealing with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. Here’s a bit from a post about preventing brain or fibro fog:
- Always Keep your keys and purse on the same hook or in the same place.
- Make lists, prioritize, and complete them if you can while you are feeling better.
- Try to take on and finish important things during your best times without overdoing it by scheduling too much.
The blog, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Tips, is a part of selfhelpmagazine.com and is written by Robin August, PhD.
The poll is doing quite well. I certainly have never gotten that many contributions to a regular post. I’m going to give it another week and then discuss the results, so if you haven’t voted yet, you should get on it.
Dear Jeff;
Thanks for mentioning me in your blog. I also have lupus so I will be looking more in depth at your site as I have the time.
Would you mind if I used your idea for the poll and gave you credit for it?
Robin
Hi Robin,
Go right ahead with the poll. It is a recent addition to the site that I plan on making a regular feature.
Keep up the good work!
Jeff
Now that I have found your website, I would like to ask a question of readers. I have both Fibromyalgia and Lupus. I understand that people with both are about 40% for people who have both of these diseases. How many of your readers have both?
Robin August
I found your site through a Google Alert. I have both Lupus and Fibromyalgia, along with arthritis and Sjogren’s (in response to Robin’s question). Thank you for taking the time to create a site like this. I haven’t fully checked it out yet, but I’m going to add it to my favorites and check it out later when I have more energy
.

Just found your site from a link on someone else’s. Interesting about the 40% – I have Lupus(in remission for 16 years est.) I have polymyositis & fibro, both active but under control most of the time with medication – of course from the medication I have developed osteoporosis. I also have osteoarthritis and mild Renaud syndrome. My first diagnosis was Lupus – I had the butterfly rash, but quickly was realized other problems were there, eventually diagnosed with the polymyositis which is in a mild flare right now – first time in years! I will bookmark your site and check back in with you.
Thanks for your answers guys. I have been curious about how many of us poor souls have multiple illnesses. Glad you like the blog site.
Robin
